Summer Learning Journey

 In Team Awa some of us have been learning about Summer Learning Journey.  Today Matua Jacob came in and let us do this colouring activity on the SLJ blog.  For rockets to launch up to space they have to travel really fast to get through Earth's Atmisfear.  This is a picture that I drew online.

Te Whare Tapa Wha

 This year we have been learning about Te Whare Tapa Wha and how it helps us. We made a slide to show the things we do to help us for each part. We need to keep all parts of our whare strong to be happy, healthy and safe.

Term 4 Basic Facts

 We enjoy practising our basic facts each day using Prototec.  We also try and beat the clock on paper throughout the year.  Here is my Term 4 results.  I am proud of my work that I have managed to accomplish.

Glow Worms

 We learned lots when we were on our camp and wanted to share these with Team Maunga before they go on their trip.  For reading and writing we have been busy creating things to help Team Maunga.  Here is my work on glow worms.  

I worked with Rakaia.

The best part was finding all the facts and pictures of glow worms.

Thank you Letter

 A few weeks ago, instead of our camp to Coopers Beach, we went on a day trip to KawaKawa and had a sleepover at school. Our awesome parent helpers came along to supervise us. Here is a letter I wrote to say thank you.

Caving

 We learned lots when we were on our camp and wanted to share these with Team Maunga before they go on their trip.  For reading and writing we have been busy creating things to help Team Maunga.  Here is my work on caving.

Vaseline Saucer

 For pet day 2021 we created Vaseline Saucers.  We made a design and thought about symmetry and patterns.  Then on Pet day we used our designs to help us with creating our work.  Here is my DLO for my Vaseline Saucer.

 Last week we visited the Life Education Caravan.  We were learning about Te Whare Tapa Wha and Resilience.  Here is a google draw we made up to help us think and remember what resilience is.

 This week in writing we have been looking at recounts and how we can improve our writing.  We started looking at our writing rubrics and understanding how to find what level pieces of writing are.

Greats And Grands

Today was meant to be Greats and Grands day at our school.  This has been cancelled for this year due to COVID-19.  We wanted to still share some writing about our amazing grandparents.  Here is my work

 Here is my handwriting sample for term 3.  I am good at setting my work out correctly. I am good at making my letters the correct height. I need to work on making my writing neat and tidy. I need to work on setting my work out correctly.

 

My Scratch Project

Over the last week I have been working on a Scratch project that helps my audience understand how to use google meet effectively when in a class call.

We had to add our voice to the Scratch project so that when someone clicks the icon you hear your voice.

Shapes In Maori

 We are learning to use and respond to everyday language. We are learning to name 2 dimensional shapes in Te Reo Maori.

Prototec Maths

Over lockdown one of our maths tasks every morning on school days we would do our Prototec.  Prototec is an app that kids can practise their maths on.  This is my best score on Prototec.
